In 1952 Grafton fought for and won its own brewery on North Street — community spirit triumphing over government bureaucracy. Purchased in 2019 by Rick Firth and his family, the historic complex is being restored for the 21st century with solar power and recycled timbers from the original build. Grafton Heritage Brewery honours that legacy with a family-friendly brewery, distillery and coffee roastery.
